Managing Director
Klaus Friedl
Phoenix Solar LLC Managing Director and Phoenix Solar AG Vice President & Head Middle East, has held numerous leadership positions in different regions around the globe and refers to 19 years of expertise as sales and marketing professional. He joined Phoenix Solar in 2009 after having focused on the photovoltaic industry since 2007. As head project manager, Klaus and his team were awarded the first lighthouse project in Saudi Arabia at the King Abdullah Petroleum Study and Research Center on behalf of Saudi Aramco, inaugurated in December 2012. Thus having successfully introduced Phoenix Solar in the MENA region, he now oversees strategy and finance at the helm of Phoenix Solar LLC. He masters German, English and French on proficiency level.
Director Project Management
Abderrahmane Ould Abdellahi
Phoenix Solar LLC Director Project Management, has for twelve years now successfully built several large-scale photovoltaic power plants in Europe and the MENA region. His in depth understanding of photovoltaic project design and management is based on wide spread experience in different areas within the energy sector. He joined Phoenix Solar in 2011 and is a project management expert with Project Management Professional (PMP) training and passed an energy management training at the University of Koblenz. Abderrahmane speaks German, Arabic, English and French.
Director Business Development
Marco Winkler
Phoenix Solar LLC Director Business Development, joined Phoenix Solar in 2010. Previously, he gained experience as an engineering and commercial professional in several management positions in different regions and refers to a strong track in international photovoltaic markets, based on outstanding knowledge of the photovoltaic markets and PV projects in Europe and in the MENA Region. Marco holds an MBA of RWTH Aachen University and a degree in environmental engineering. His mother tongue is German, but also he is used to conducting business in English and French, in addition he speaks Chinese and Spanish.
