Phoenix Solar wins APVIA Award during the Singapore International Energy Week 2013

Phoenix Solar Pte Lt Singapore received the APVIA award 2013 in the category of Technological Achievement for the pilot project of floating PV in Singapore.

The inaugural ceremony of the APVIA Awards 2013 was held as part of the Singapore International Energy Week on 29 October 2013. Launched by the Asian Photovoltaic Industry Association, this initiative aims to recognise organizations and individuals who have made remarkable contributions to the PV industry through achievements in the areas of capability development or innovation.

Phoenix Solar won an award in the category of “APVIA Award – Technological Achievement” for the 5kWp floating PV system at Pond Gardens, Bishan Park, Singapore.

This is the first floating PV system in Southeast Asia. The project is a privately funded collaboration led by Phoenix Solar with the gracious cooperation of the National Parks Board (NParks). The solar modules are manufactured in Singapore and donated by REC Modules Pte Ltd.

Mr Jeffrey Tan, Project Development Manager of Phoenix Solar, received the award from Mr Kng Meng Hwee, Deputy Chief Executive of Energy Market Authority (EMA) of Singapore.
