Tim P. Ryan
Chief Executive Officer and President
Chief Executive Officer of Phoenix Solar AG Germany
Tim P. Ryan, originally from the USA, brings comprehensive experience in growth oriented business development, sales management and leadership with international businesses, in particular in the solar industry.
Until 2011 he was a Senior Vice President with the former Q-Cells AG in Berlin, responsible for both the Global Cell Segment as well as the Region Asia Pacific. Prior to this, Tim P. Ryan was Region Head for Oerlikon Solar for sales and service of complex thin-film production facilities in the Middle East, India and Southeast Asia. He is an expert for the technical, sales-related, commercial and financial aspects of large utility-scale as well as commercial rooftop photovoltaic systems. This earned him operating mandates in Asia for both Welspun Energy and the former REC Solar from 2012.
For approximately nine years he held managerial positions with Hilti AG, last as an Executive Vice President, running the region Northern and Eastern Europe. Tim P. Ryan's career started in the automotive sector in the USA and Europe, where he worked for Goodyear and Porsche. He holds a Master of International Business (MBA) degree from the University of South Carolina.
Peter Beucke
Chief Operating Officer
As a licensed architect, real estate broker and contractor with over 30 years of design, engineering, and construction experience, Peter brings a critical customer focus and hands-on perspective to Phoenix Solar. Prior to joining Phoenix Solar, he was the Director of Global Design and Engineering Services for SunPower Corporation, with responsibility for creating the design and providing the engineering services required to build solar power plants. In this role, Peter was deeply involved in the development of several solar plants in the U.S. and Europe.
Prior to SunPower, Peter was SVP for the San Francisco Bay Area division of Lennar Homes, one of the nation’s largest homebuilders. Peter holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Design from Arizona State University’s College of Architecture.
Sanjeev Menon
Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President Structured and Corporate Financing
Sanjeev Menon joined Phoenix Solar in October 2012 from Lincoln Renewable Energy (“LRE”), where he was the Vice President of Finance & Business Development. At LRE, he originated and closed a quasi-merchant facility with back-leverage and project debt with prepaid electricity for a 10 MW plant in New Jersey. Prior to LRE, Sanjeev was a Director of Structured Finance & Business Development at SunPower where he was involved in the financing of residential, commercial and sub-utility scale solar power systems.
Sanjeev has also held various finance related positions at a number of firms including United Financial of Illinois, TL1 Partners and General Electric Capital focused on financing energy and renewables and telecommunications projects. Over his career, he has been instrumental in advising and financing over $1.9 billion of debt and equity in projects.
Sanjeev holds a B.S. Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Columbia University.
Sanjeev and his wife have two children. He enjoys reading, traveling and working out in his spare time
Shawn Mangan
Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Shawn joined Phoenix Solar with over twenty-six years of experience in business development, contract management and construction supervision for various power, industrial, and chemical projects, to Phoenix Solar. He is responsible for the company’s US sales organization.
Most recently Shawn served as a Director of Business Development for Quanta Power Generation, Inc. a full service engineering, procurement and construction Company serving both the Renewable Energy and Conventional Power Generation markets. Prior to that, Shawn was Vice President of Business Development for Q-Cells North America managing the Utility Scale, Commercial and Industrial and channel partner business lines.
Shawn holds a BA in Political Science from Temple University. When not working Shawn and his wife Wendy enjoy spending time boating in the San Francisco Bay.
Kevin Hennessy
Senior Vice President, Operations
Kevin Hennessy joined Phoenix Solar with more than Thirty years of Design and Construction experience. As the Vice President of Operations he will lead the project execution team. Most recently as the VP, Power Plant Systems at Alion Energy, Kevin lead the development, design and construction of the world’s most innovative utility scale solar power plant system. Through the use of heavy construction methods and custom robots, 75% of the field labor was eliminated. Prior to that work Kevin was the Director of Construction Services for SunPower and was involved in over 500MW of projects built throughout the world.
Kevin has a Master’s degree from Stanford University, a Bachelor’s degree from Hobart College, and is a professional Civil Engineer. When not working with customers and team members, Kevin enjoys tennis, bicycling, woodworking and the outdoors.
Chip Pospisil
Vice President, Project Controls
As a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Charles 'Chip' J. Pospisil has been a project manager and project control specialist on dozens of successful implementations of large-scale projects in the energy field and several other industries. Chip has actively managed and provided project control support for such diverse projects as large scale Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects, enterprise project management solution implementations, information technology projects, project offices and company start-ups. Chip draws on over 30 years of experience in project controls, project management and consulting in formulating and implementing cost saving solutions for project portfolios. He has held positions with SunPower Corporation, consulting firm Innovative Management Solutions, Inc. and Utility Resources, Inc.
Chip received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Connecticut.
Chip and his wife of 36 years have two grown sons. When not working, Chip can be found tinkering on his antique pickup truck, hiking in Arizona and occasionally surfing with his family in Southern California.
Zack Zoller
Vice President, Design Engineering
Zack Zoller joins Phoenix Solar with more than 10 years of experience in engineering design and land development, the last 8 of which have been exclusively in the Solar Renewables industry. Prior to Phoenix Solar, Zack was Director of Engineering for Blue Oak Energy managing the Utility Scale & Commercial engineering design group within the company working with Owners, Utilities, Permitting Jurisdictions, Engineers and Financial Institutions in the construction of large PV systems. Zack holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MS in Transportation Technology and Policy from the University of California, Davis. He is currently a Licensed Electrical Engineer in California and Utah.
When not working, Zack enjoys spending time making Home-Made Wine & Beer, Rowing with the River City Master’s Rowing Club out of Sacramento and taking long road rides on his bike with his wife.
