Born in 1958


Tim P. Ryan holds a Master of International Business (MBA) degree from the University of South Carolina. He started his career in the automotive sector in the USA and Europe. For approximately nine years he held managerial positions with Hilti AG before entering the solar industry as Region Head for Oerlikon Solar for sales and service of complex thin-film production facilities in the Middle East, India and Southeast Asia. Until 2011 he was a Senior Vice President with the former Q-Cells AG in Berlin, responsible for both the Global Cell Segment as well as the Region Asia Pacific. Subsequently he held operating mandates in Asia for both Welspun Energy and the former REC Solar.

Tim P. Ryan brings comprehensive experience in growth oriented business development, sales management and leadership with international businesses. He is an expert for the technical, sales-related, commercial and financial aspects of large-scale photovoltaic systems.

Manfred Hochleitner

Born in 1973


Manfred Hochleitner holds a Masters Degree in Mathematics from Passau University and started his career as a software developer and subsequently as Executive Staff to the Board at a publicly-traded German electronics group. From 2006 until 2011, he was Head of Manufacturing and SCM, Financial Director and Managing Director with three medium-sized enterprises.

At Phoenix Solar AG served to date as Director Finance and Administration for Phoenix Solar AG. Among other tasks, he was responsible for the Controlling, Treasury, Group Accounting and Tax functions. In addition, he played a significant role in securing the ongoing Group financing as well as in realigning the Group strategy.

Dr. Murray Cameron

Founding member of the company

Dr. Cameron studied astrophysics at University College in London and obtained his doctorate there. From 1988 to 1994, he was a project manager at the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics in Garching near Munich. Murray Cameron has worked in the field of photovoltaics since 1994.

He was General Secretary of the European Photovoltaic Industry Association (EPIA) from 2000 to 2003. He was the EPIA’s Vice-President from 2003 to 2005 and its President from 2005 to 2006. In May 2006, Dr. Murray Cameron resumed the position of Vice President at the EPIA.

Dr. Murray Cameron has been a member of the Executive Board of Phoenix Solar AG since 2003. Since 2012 he has also been CEO & President of Phoenix Solar Inc., USA.
