Be it the "Frauenhofer Institute ISE", "Ökotest" or the trade journal "Photon", they all confirm the high quality of REC products. Benchmark tests conducted by the trade journal Photon put REC's solar modules in first place in 2011. REC's manufacturing facilities are also among the largest and most modern in the solar industry worldwide. A high level of automation ensures precision, reliability and quality. Sustainability
Alongside the sale and distribution of products that produce green electricity, REC values sustainability and social responsibility. For example, REC modules are cutting edge in their energy payback time of one year. This is mainly attributable to innovations such as the new fluidised bed reactor (FBR) in silicon production. The FBR needs 80 to 90 percent less energy in the manufacturing process compared with conventional methods. What is more, the manufacturing process is ISO 14001 certified. The certificate stands for best practice in both environmental management and environmental performance.
